gold medal nodus bobal

Nodus Bobal 2019 has won a gold medal at Asia Wine Trophy 2021.

At Bodegas Nodus we are in luck. Our 100% organic Nodus Bobal 2019 has been awarded a gold medal at this year’s Asia Wine Trophy edition, which was held in Daejeon (South Korea), from November 8 to 11. The jury, made up of 84 experts in the world of wine, has awarded the Bobal of Bodegas Nodus the highest award among the more than 3,162 wines that were presented in this edition, which makes the event the largest and most prestigious wine competition in all of Asia.

The event has become, despite the effects of the pandemic, a must for the world of wine on the Asian continent and, once again, it has been a successful participation. The contest, which is sponsored by the International Organization of Vineyards and Wine (OIV), has valued its maturation in barrels, its monovarietal character and its ecological commitment (since the 2017 vintage), thanks to the selection of vineyards from the Finca El Renegado.

The gold medal for Nodus Bobal 2019 completes a great year for the wines of Bodegas Nodus, which in total have won 19 awards and mentions so far in 2021. Along with the award in the Asia Wine Trophy, Bodegas Nodus has obtained recognitions at the Ecovino de La Rioja Awards (for Chaval Rosé and En la Parra White), at the Decanter UK 2021 (for Chaval Rosé), at the Spring Panel Tasting 2021 (for Chaval Rosé), at the Gilbert & Gaillard (for Chaval Rosé, Nodus Bobal, Nodus Chardonnay and Chaval Red), at the Mundus Vini of Germany (for Nodus Bobal and Nodus Chardonnay), in the Berliner Germany (for Nodus Chardonnay), in the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards (for Chaval Red and Chavalote White). In addition, the prestigious guide by James Suckling has given 92 points to Nodus Merlot Delirium, Nodus Bobal, Chaval Red and Chavalote Red, while it has awarded 90 points to Nodus Chardonnay.
